George Spake is a software engineer & designer from Memphis TN.

George has over 10 years of experience as a full stack web developer and designer. Before joining Ookla in 2021, he worked at a University, a couple of startups, and a fortune 300 company.

As a member of the Memphis tech community, George has been a speaker, volunteer, organizer, and mentor. He is the founder and organizer of DevMemphis, a technical meetup for software developers in the greater Memphis area - and an active participant in the Memtech and Codeconnector communities. He was previously a co-organizer of the Memphis WordPress user group.

George is also interested in Memphis music history and culture, model building, 3d printing, collecting, and travelling. He lives in Memphis with his amazing wife and kid.
